Steven Ward is a privacy and security fellow for R Street’s Cybersecurity and Emerging Threats team. He focuses on data security, data privacy, and cybersecurity at the federal and state levels, emerging cyber and national security threats, and cybersecurity impacts on the private sector. Steven worked for nearly a decade in law enforcement. He had assignments in the Patrol Division and the Detective Division and was also a computer forensic examiner and a member of the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crime Task Force and Sacramento Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force. Steven is currently co-chair of the Sacramento chapter of IAPP KnowledgeNet.
Jennifer (Jenny) Sheridan is the founder and principal of JLSheridan Law, a Silicon Valley boutique law firm focused on technology transactions, IP counseling and data privacy compliance. She has earned the CIPP/US and CIPP/E privacy certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). She serves on the executive committee of the California Lawyers Association privacy section. Her in-house experience includes serving as General Counsel, Company Secretary for several tech companies. She is an adjunct law professor at Santa Clara Law School and USF Law School.
Founding Meru Data, Priya Keshav enables corporations to identify and proactively manage privacy risks around data, including building best practices and policies, data mapping, AdTech, AI governance, and Personal Information governance. Prior to Meru, Priya was the Managing Director of KPMG’s Forensic Technology Services in the Southwest U.S. She has more than 20 years of consulting experience in privacy, information governance, cyber-crime response, eDiscovery, and forensic investigations. She regularly speaks at events and webinars with numerous security, privacy, AI, and eDiscovery industry groups.
