James A. Sherer is a Partner based in New York and co-leads the Emerging Technology team within Baker Hostetler's Digital Assets and Data Management Group, while directing the firm’s Artificial Intelligence and Information Governance engagements. His work spans litigation, transactions, and regulatory enforcement, helping clients address discovery management, enterprise risk management, records and information governance, data privacy and security, artificial intelligence and algorithmic transparency, and related merger and acquisition diligence matters.
A consensus builder focused on project delivery and long-term strategy; James develops deep client relationships and pragmatically addresses complex digital risk and compliance challenges. He previously worked as an in-house litigator and privacy and eDiscovery professional with a Fortune 500 company and earlier practiced litigation in New York. Prior to founding Meru Data, Priya served as Managing Director of KPMG’s Forensic Technology Services practice in the Southwest U.S. With more than 20 years of consulting experience, she has advised organizations on privacy, information governance, cyber-crime response, eDiscovery, and forensic investigations.
